Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of carerank.mehyar.us, the free quiz, free matches, and the $29 ranked-shortlist report ("the Report"), provided by Mehyar Soft LLC ("we").

1. Not medical advice

CareRank is a research tool, not medical, legal, or professional advice. Scores are computed deterministically from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data and your quiz answers. Always tour facilities, call them directly, and consult qualified professionals before making care decisions. We are not a healthcare provider and make no claim about the current quality, availability, staffing, or suitability of any facility.

2. Data freshness

Facility ratings come from the CMS nursing-home dataset and are current as of the "data as of" date shown on each page — not as of today. Conditions change: inspections happen, staffing turns over. Verify everything that matters by visiting and asking.

3. The free tier

The quiz and your top-3 matches (names blurred until you share an email) are free. If you give us your email, we may send your matches and occasional useful follow-ups — every email includes one-click unsubscribe (unsubscribe anytime, one click).

4. The $29 report

• One-time payment of $29 for the full ranked shortlist: every match with scores, strengths, red flags, decoded CMS ratings, per-facility tour questions, and a printable PDF.
• Your report link is private — anyone with the link can view it. Share only with family.
• Reports are generated from the quiz answers you submitted at purchase. Retake the quiz and purchase again if your needs change.

5. Refunds

If we fail to deliver your report after a successful payment, you get a full refund — no questions. Otherwise, because the Report is a digital product delivered instantly, refunds are granted within 7 days of purchase on request: email [email protected] with your receipt.

6. Acceptable use

Don't scrape the site at abusive volumes, don't resell reports, and don't misrepresent CareRank scores as medical endorsements. Quiz answers must be your own or entered with the relevant person's knowledge.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mehyar Soft LLC is not liable for decisions you make based on CareRank output, for the accuracy or completeness of third-party CMS data, or for the actions of any facility. Our total liability for paid services is limited to the $29 you paid.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; the version in effect at your time of use applies. Material changes to the paid product will be noted here with a new date.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
